It's easy to demonstrate that most climate change deniers are liars, or the dupes of liars. And reality-based people are too patient and polite with them. |

| Although there will always be finer points to work out, the real science about man made global warming was settled long ago. And so, by 1992, the nations of the world came to an agreement in Rio, to immediately set to work reducing greenhouse gas emissions to below 1990 levels.
From then on, a lot of industry-funded liars got into the act, producing deliberate misinformation, and convincing the easily-duped that there was no problem. And, those efforts to create confusion have continued - very well funded - ever since.
That short term greed-based activity has stalled action on what is an absolutely a critical global problem.
The National Academies of Sciences of China, Russia, the US, the equivalent bodies in Canada and the UK - in fact every relevant established scientific body on the planet has said, in writing, that humanity is warming the planet with emissions and yes it is a problem. But the liars and dupes continue.
Lately, you may have heard the mantra that the global temp has not increased in ten years. That is a flat out lie. What has not happened is that we have not surpassed the outlier - the extra hot year of 1998. but the 2000's are warmer than the 1990's and on and on. In fact here is the actual record:
