| There are no battles or skirmishes today between Viet Nam and the USA.
There appears to be no risk of military clashes between China and Japan.
Yesterday, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Nicolas Sarkozy, together, placed a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier under the Arc De Triomphe in Paris.
Peace has happened.
Those nations fought horrific wars with each other in the past, and are now on good terms.
There are still war-mongers, probably in every nation of the world, but in this new world of television and the internet - global communication and its potential for understanding - it is possible that if people everywhere insist, we could eliminate war. Forever.
Peace has happened between those countries. It could happen between all countries. |
