in the 80's and early nineties I kept reading why the poles would warm much more rapidly than zones closer to the equator - technical stuff that one can only get through if very interested. But the practical effects, by the thousands, are all right on schedule, in spite of all the manufactured bs to the contrary. 25 years ago the science was predicting this for example:
